Literature Text

I’ve been searching for these words
That I know I’ll never find
The ones on the tip of my tongue
The ones always running through my mind

Dreams don’t last forever
This love: time will sever
Not for me, no tears shall be shed
I’ll sow back your heart with my needle and thread

This summer is one I’ll never forget
Lets keep going it’s not over yet
We’ll listen to the radio and hear our favorite song
We’ll blast the sound so loud and start to sing along

Lets hope these days won’t ever end
But just for now we’ll just pretend
That there’s no such thing as goodbyes
We’ll stay here believing in our lies

Eyes of beauty and lips of bliss
Feeling the sensation of every kiss
Holding hands, an entrancing stare
Laying in bed playing with your hair

These are the words I’ve been trying to say
You make me happy in every single way
When this is over, you’ll stay inside my soul
Because it is my heart, my heart that you stole

When you’re gone I’ll still think of you
And all the good times we’ve been through
I’ll always remember the summer I found love
The secret is out: it’s you I’ll always be thinking of
Okay I have a few things to say about this poem. Sure it has a few kinks in it but it comes straight from the heart and that is why I like it. Oh man the ending was so hard, I love the second last verse but you know how hard it is to find a good word that rhymes with love?

Thank you

My favorite part:

Fantastic poem. Truly, truly fabulous.
